"Comfort (1870-2001)"

This quilt has been altered to incorporate logos for every chain restaurant operating in Collierville, Tennessee as of 2001. Most of these well-known companies still operate and many more familiars have since set up within the newer retail areas as they are built, but few of the original independent restaurants and shops in the town have survived. Collierville is a suburb of Memphis, and is one of the fastest growing areas in Tennessee. The town's rapid development is indicative of the rampant suburban sprawl common on the outskirts of many American cities.
